The lighthouse remains open for the winter season and winter activities. The cottages are now closed for the winter and waiting for spring. The leaves are slowly falling off the trees this fall. |

A new trail is ready for walking. It leads to a large bluff area on French Island where a past guest has built a stone medicine wheel. A perfect look out for sun sets. To see pictures of the medicine wheel and the amazing sunset visit our Picasa link Island Scenery.

It is official fall is here. The leaves are turning brilliant red, and yellow with some tumbling to the ground. The fresh air has a special coolness to it now. The raft is now on the beach for the winter. This beautiful season is the best time of year to enjoy nature. The chipmunks and squirrels are busy hauling cedar seeds and anything they can find to their nests for their winter supply of food. The hummingbirds have already headed south and soon the geese will start flying in formation to their southern destinations. |
