This past weekend was a busy weekend in this little Town with visitors from all over Ontario & Michigan. Record crowds attended the Demolition Derby and the Fall Fair. The Mike Fahey Band entertained everyone at the concert on Saturday night along with Buster Brown and his step dancers. Many people started their Christmas shopping at the annual Sylvan Circle Artisan Tour. There was almost a traffic jam in downtown Bruce Mines. The weather was beautiful and the leaves are now starting to change colour. |

The Sylvan Circle Tour is an Artisan Tour from Echo Bay to Bruce Mines and is on Sept 12th, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm.
The complete tour is approximately 100 kilometres long and is held in community halls and studios along a circle route including Echo Bay, Leeburn, Bruce Mines, and Laird.
Each year approximately forty artists and artisans participate in the tour, exhibiting a wide range of types of work. In addition, a number of the exhibitors demonstrate during the day, and local groups provide food and drink at a number of the tour sites.
Go for a drive and enjoy the fall colours. Visit our islands, escape to nature, walk on our nature trails or just relax. |

Our first natural unserviced tent site is now completed on French Island facing the east. Wake up and watch the beautiful sun rises over Lake Huron. It had its first tenants on Aug 15th. |
