We have just 3 had generations staying at our cottages that have been fishing Lake Huron for years. The catch for this day was 2 small mouth bass, and pike. There photos are under Guests in Picasa as I could not get to upload them onto the web site. I will keep trying. The weather this year for there fishing week this year was cooler then normal but the fish were still biting. |

It is with sadness that we announce the death of Fern Peterson who passed away on July 18,2009 at the age of 94 1/2 years. Fern and her late husband Harold made great improvements with Bruce Bay Cottages & Lighthouse when they bought it in the 1960's. Fern's art work is a prominent feature in each cottage and throughout the islands. |

A weekend of Country Music starting Friday July24th until Sunday July 26th at the Bruce Mines Arena. Come out and join in the fun, music, dancing, and square dancing. End your evening with s'mores around a campfire. |

Canada Day 2009It was a cool day with little showers. Downtown Bruce Mines waterfront was a busy place with games for children and adults. Many participated in the washer toss tournament which is becoming a popular event . Bruce Bay Cottages & Lighthouse placed First in the Commercial Division, see the photos on our Facebook site. |

The Four and Friends Art Show is held at the Community Hall this weekend July 10,11,12th. Doug Hook, Doug Bradford, Linda Finn & Noni Boyle have invited their friends to show their art work at this annual Art Show & Sale sponsored by the Bruce Mines & District Chamber of Commerce. |
