The first freighter of the season sailed into Trap Rock yesterday. Lake Huron is still frozen but the Coast Guard cut a trail through the ice. Interesting to see a freighter surrounded by ice. This is the beginning of the shipping season. The McKay Island Lighthouse will be guiding the freighters into port.
