Today at 1:30 pm it is officially spring and with that the first sea gull was seen flying over the lighthouse. Two Canadian geese are floating in the bay under the bridge wondering when is the ice going diappear. The ice today is very blue and shimmering in the sun. it has receded from the shoreline of the islands witha  foot of water between the shoreline and the ice. I predict this year will be a record year for the ice going out of the bay as usually the ice breakers has to break a trail for the first freighter to arrive at the end of April.
