The Coast Guard ice breaker spent yesterday going back and forth across the North Channel breaking up the ice and then anchored for the night. Last night the first Lake Freighter arrived and anchored in the bay for the night. This morning is a wet rainy foggy day and  both are anchored waiting for something before they start their run into Trap Rock. The shipping of Trap Rcok is 3 weeks behind last year. The  water level in this area is presently down about a foot so there is the possiblilty that this could be a factor in why the freighter is anchored. Maybe they are hoping that the rain will cause the lake level to rise.
