Booking and Deposit policy

Cottages can be booked by the week from any day to any day if available..

Weekend stays are a minimum of 2 nights and holiday weekends are minimum of 3 nights. Last minute bookings for weekends can be less.

Please note due to Covid reservations are held with a credit card number but no charges are applied until arrival. With 1 weeks notice cancellation fee is waived.

We require a deposit of

  • Deposit of 30% Canadian is required to hold your cottage

Deposit is required at the time of booking by credit card.and is non refundable

Please note we reserve the right to reject any application or to terminate any reservation

The balance is payable upon arrival by, Canadian cash, Visa, MasterCard, E transfer or travellers cheques.

Cancellation Policy

All deposits are non-refundable.

Extra Guest Policy

If you require to add an additional person to the cottage above the number of guests allowed there is an extra person fee

  • $15.00 per night  or $ 50.00 per week
  • Children under 12 years- $  8.00 per night  or $ 30.00 per week

Early Departures

As is the policy with most seasonal establishments, guests who depart prior to their confirmed departure date must pay the full reserved package price.  No credit will be given for late arrivals or early departures.

Arrivals and Departure Times

Arrivals are to check in after 2:00 p.m. on the day of their arrival. Departures are to check out by 10:00 a.m. on the day of departure.


Dogs and cats are generally allowed with permission at the time of booking of the reservation.  Pet owners are completely responsible for their pets.Pets are to be kept on a leash at all times and are not to bother any guests sharing the resort. Do not leave your pet unattended if you wish a dog sitter please contact the main office.

Poop and scoop policy is in place a $10.00 fee will be charged to your account if clean up is necessary

Please do not allow your pets to sleep on the wool blankets. A cleaning fee of $100.00 per blanket will be charged.

Damage, liability and cleaning policy

Our canoes, kayaks, row boats and bikes are complimentary and are used at your own risk. After use please return them to where you found them .The customer is responsible or liable for any lost or damage done to Bruce Bay Cottages equipment. If you bring your own motor the cost for use of one of our boats is $40.00 per day.

The resort is not held liable for losses, injuries, or damages incurred while on the properties or using resort equipment

Cleaning: The cottages should be left the way you found them. Please do your dishes. If you do not do your dishes there will be a $100.00 cleaning fee.

Smoking policy

All cottages are non smoking. Smoking guests must smoke outside. If there is evidence of smoking inside or butts are discarded around the cottage grounds a cleaning fee will be charged. A cleaning fee of $300.00 will be applied to your account

We will not disclose any personal information about you unless required to do so by law or in collecting payment owed by you.If our business is sold, we may provide this information to the purchaser.

We will comply with all laws which require us to supply the information to government agencies and others. Your information will not sold, transferred, or traded.
